Ethereum the new virtual currency and successor to Bitcoin

We are all familiar with the Bitcoin phenomenon by now. Ether is the new successor. At the beginning of this year, the currency was still listed at 7.98 dollars. On June 14, this value had already risen to 340 dollars. This is an increase of 5000 percent in half a year (from January 2017 to June 2017).

This virtual currency is one of the strongest rising investments ever. In the meantime, Ethereum has become the second largest virtual currency with a total value of 36 billion dollars. Bitcoin did take a little longer to become so valuable, the total value of Bitcoin is now approximately 49 billion dollars. If the trend of the first part of this year continues, Ether will soon become the largest virtual currency in existence.

Blockchain is the technology behind the virtual currency in the main. This is a very advanced accounting register that can perform automatic transactions when certain conditions are met. This means that little human intervention is required. Not only transactions can be tracked (as we know with Bitcoin), but also real estate transactions and all kinds of contracts can be integrated into the Ethereum currency.

The currency of this virtual money is expressed in Ether and is a crypto currency invented by Vitalik Buterin.

The remarkable thing about this virtual currency is that this time large companies and even heads of state are interested in this currency. For example, an Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) was recently established with the support of JP Morgan, Intel and Microsoft. At least 90 other companies joined this Alliance. Russian President Putin is also interested in the Ether currency.

How to make Ethereum money?

Well making or earning Ethereum is called mining. This means you need a computer that can run certain programs to make Etereum coins.
