What are smombies? Well this are people, especially young people, that are so intensively using their smartphone that they forget everything around them. This can be very dangerous if you walk or cycle around without paying any attention to the traffic and the environment around you. Police is working towards a law that makes it possible to give people a penalty if they put the traffic our themselves in danger. It is a phenomenon that existed since the arrival of the first smartphone. It are often young people who are addicted and 'smartphonen' everywhere without looking up just like zombies.
Sweden made steps to discourage the smombiën by establishing a prohibition in which young people are depicted as smombies.
