5G network under development

Forget the 4G network. South-Korea is the first to develop a 5G network, Japan, China, the US and Europe follows.

Company's like Samsung and Huawei are bussy to developing 5G Wireless Technologies that can be used all over the world.

For now, the 5de generation mobile networks are called Tactile Internet, the 5th generation mobile networks or the 5th generation wireless systems.

The speed would be phenomenal. While a 4G network can reach a speed from 100 Megabits per second (12,5 Megabyte), the 5G network can reach a speed of 10 Gigabits per second (1,25 Gigabyte). That's about 100 times faster than the 4G network.

A movie from about 1 GB will be downloaded in seconds to your Smartphone or computer.

It may even go faster
British scientists of the Surrey University have reached a record speed on a 5G network of hundred meters. They achieved a speed up to 1 Terabit per second, this is 65,000 times faster than a 3G network.

Future
It's will get som time until we experience such speeds with our smartphones and computers.
According to a South Korean IT company, 5G network will be available in 2020. But first let's use the 4G network before we apply the 5G network.
