What happens when you disable this icon?
Applications of Autodesk loads a shell extension which determines if a file is digitally signed (displaying it with an icon). To determine whether a file is digitally signed, the shell extension looks into each drawing file before displaying it. If a folder contains many drawings, like your template folder, it will take longer to open.
Note: If you are using AutoCAD LT, the above steps may not work.
In that case, you can do the following steps:

Thanks for quite a useful blog for persons, like I, who are unfamiliar with digital signatures certificates. I have read about so many tools for creating digital signatures even some of them are available free of cost. Thanks for providing an effective solution.
Great post. This is the best article I have read so far that thoroughly explains the whole idea behind digital signature technology. I would highly recommend this information as after reading it one can easily learn and understand all about this concept.
