Wi-Gi the high-speed successor of the Wi-Fi, up to 300 MB/sec.

Wireless networks gets a substantial upgrade for the end of this year, although there are significantlimitations to be concerned. After all, manufacturers hope to have an successor for the well-known Wi-Fi wireless technology, called Wi-Gi. Why the letter G? Well it's simply because the G comes after the F in the alphabet, but it also reference to "giga". The wireless technology would be 10 times faster, creating a theoretical throughput of no less than three gigabits per second. In other words it can transport about 300 megabytes in a second. We don't have to tell you that such a speed can only be reached under ideal conditions. Therefore, the equipment must be directly in opposite to each other without any obstructions between.

Moreover, there is a serious fly in the ointment. To get that fabulous speeds, manufactures has to switch to ultra-high frequencies. While today Wi-Fi works at 2.4 or 5 gigahertz, has Wi-Gi a place in the 60 gigahertz band claim. And that puts a number of laws of physics in operation, the main restriction that signals on that frequency using extremely short wave disturbance so sensitive that they cannot get through a wall. So Wi-Gi wireless networks will not do forget the Wi-Fi networks. Because the use will be limited to situations where sender and receiver see each other. We expected that the use of Wi-Gi will be effective father a year of two. Routers that supported both Wi-Fi and Wi-Gi wil see the light in 2012.

Draadloze netwerken krijgen een forse opwaardering en nog wel voor het einde van dit jaar, al zijn er meteen ook flinke beperkingen te vermelden.
Fabrikanten hopen immers voor eind december de opvolger van de bekende Wi-Fi technologie klaar te hebben die dan luistert naar de naam Wi-Gi. De draadloze technologie zou een factor 10 sneller worden, waardoor je een theoretisch debiet van niet minder dan 3 gigabit per seconde of anders gezegd zo'n 300 megabyte per seconde. We hoeven je wellicht niet te vertellen dat die topsnelheid alleen onder ideale omstandigheden kan gehaald worden.

Bovendien zit er een serieuze adder onder het gras. Om die fabelachtige snelheden te kunnen halen, moeten fabrikanten immers uitwijken naar ultrahoge frequenties. Terwijl Wi-Fi vandaag op 2,4 of 5 gigahertz werkt, zou Wi-Gi een plaatsje in de 60 gigahertz band claimen. En dat zet een aantal wetten van de fysica in werking, met als voornaamste beperking dat signalen op die frequentie extreem korte golven gebruiken die zo storingsgevoelig zijn dat ze niet doorheen een muur geraken. Wi-Gi zal Wi-Fi dus niet helemaal van de troon stoten want het gebruik zal beperkt blijven tot situaties waarin zender en ontvanger elkaar kunnen 'zien'.
Er wordt dan ook verwacht dat het uiteindelijk toch nog een paar jaar zal duren vooraleer er routers op de markt zijn die zowel Wi-Fi als Wi-Gi ondersteunen en afhankelijk van de positie van uw laptop de best haalbare technologie uitkiezen.

Schlager zanger Tom Waes scoort mega succes met Dos Cervezas Por Favor

Tom Waes kreeg in zijn programma 'Tomtesterom' de opdracht om een schlager-nummer op te nemen en op te treden als schlagerzanger. Hiervoor werd een eenvoudig nummer gecomponeerd met een refrein die, eenmaal gehoord, niet meer uit het hoofd te zetten is. De clip was al voor de uitzending te bewonderen op YouTube. Nadat het programma uitgezonden werd, veroverde het liedje de hitparades. 'Dos Cervezas Por Favor' staat nu momenteel al op nummer 9 in de top 50 van de Ultra Top Hitparade. Ze spreken erover om Tom naar het Eurovisiesongfestival te sturen in plaats van Tom Dice. Hiervoor werd op Facebook zelfs al een groep opgericht op. Van een zomerhit gesproken. Tom werd al meermaals gevraagd om optredens te gaan doen, maar momenteel is de vraag zo groot dat hij er maar enkele kan uitpikken. In de foute top 100 van Q-music eindigde 'Dos Cervezas Por Favor' op nummer 2 net na Frans Bauer met 'Heb je even voor mij'. This beer is brewed by Cistercian monks (also known as Trappists). They live a modest and quiet life searching for God. The beer is brewed in a limited edition because this craft-beer can only be produced by the Cistercian monks. You can taste the beer in the Café-Restaurant right before the Abbey of West Vleteren. There's a large waiting time to get a crate of this West Vleeren beer because the beer has become immensely popular the last few years, even in America.

Kerstboom nu ook in blik, de trend van kerstmis 2009 wordt voortgezet in 2010

Hij kan uitgroeien tot dé hype van deze eindejaarsperiode: de kerstboom in blik. Het volstaat om het blikje van 7,50 euro te openenen en de aarde te begieten en enkele dagen later zou al een kleine kerstboom moeten ontkiemen. 'In het blik zitten alle nodige voedingsstoffen die het boompje nodig heeft om te groeien', volgens Thierry Moortgat, die de kerstbomen in blik in ons land verdeelt. Zo'n blikje is een ideaal Sinterklaasgeschenk, want na drie weken heeft het kind zijn eigen kerstboompje.

Dé hype van deze eindejaarsperiode:
Een kerstboom uit een blik.

Een echte spar doet er in volle grond een jaar of zes over om uit te groeien tot een voldragen kerstboom. Maar dit is eerder een desktop-model. Hij wordt hooguit 10 à 15 centimeter groot. Ideaal om uw bureau op te fleuren in deze donkere dagen. En versiering? Wel de kerstboom is net groot genoeg om er een kleine kerstbal of een halve slinger in te hangen.

Uw eigen kerstboom uit een blik. Het is weer eens wat anders. Open het blik, kap er een beetje water in en binnen enkele dagen groeit uw eigen kerstboom eruit. Dat beweert gigagadgets.be.

In het blikje zitten alle nodige voedingsstoffen die de plantjes nodig hebben om te groeien. Zolang het blik niet geopend is, kan het enkele maanden bewaard worden. Na opening moet u het water geven om binnen enkele dagen een echte kerstboom te zien groeien.
