Tropical Islands the largest indoor beach resort ever built

This park is actually located on the site of a former Soviet military airbase in Krausnick, Germany.

Tropical Island is built in a hangar where originally aircraft were built for long-distance freight.

The park has a beach, a lagoon, a water-slides and includes adventure.

Guests can enjoy several restaurants, night shows and can also relax in the sauna.

Tropical Islands is localized in this huge hangar, with outside the actual weather far removed from the temperatures inside. The tropical temperatures inside the hangar are far more better than the outside in the winter.

A number of options are available for stays, from the simplest to the most luxurious. There are both strange looking beach huts to beach tents.

Sometimes if you are lucky you even see a flamingo's and canaries flying around in this hangar.

It is said that the hall in which Tropical Islands located is the largest free-standing hall would be in the world.

Tropical Islands receives up to 6,000 visitors per day and 975,000 visitors in the first year.

Visitors can also stay in one of the beach bars. Beyond that there are thousands of visitors daily work there are about 500 staff.
